We understand that having a contented, motivated cleaning work force is the key to delivering excellence in our cleaning service. To this end, we take very seriously our investment in staff training. We currently employ over 110 permanent Cleaning Operatives (to ensure maximum control and efficiency, PCS Ltd never sub-contract) and are proud of our very low staff turnover.
Cleaning Operatives are hired following the usual police/criminal record checks and references are obtained for all new employees. Following an initial induction, our staff benefit from ongoing training on all aspects of Health & Safety relevant to our industry - COSHH information as an example. Our staff are also required to complete CRB checks as appropriate - especially for schools and vulnerable adults but also for sensitive business data in some of our customers businesses. We also offer our employees the opportunity to study free of charge for NVQ Cleaning & Support Services (Building Interiors) and, in fact, many have moved onto Level 2 and beyond.
